Transit Unplugged TV Special: Remember the Alamo (Season 5, Episode 7)
This special grew out of our full San Antonio episode — so much great footage and storytelling, we had to give the Alamo its own show.
In this Transit Unplugged TV special, host Paul Comfort gets an inside tour of the Alamo with Ernesto Rodriguez, III — the curator and historian who has been telling the stories of the Alamo since 1999.
The Alamo goes way deeper than the famous facade. Artifacts from the 13-day siege of 1836 bring the stories of legendary defenders like David Crockett, James Bowie, and William Barrett Travis to life like never before. You'll also get up close with a legendary Bowie knife collection, a John Wayne movie poster, and hear about Phil Collins' unexpected connection to the Alamo.
With a brand-new museum set to open in 2028 and visitation expected to reach 2.5 million guests a year, the Alamo is more alive than ever. Come see why Texans still say, “Remember the Alamo.”
