St. Louis trumpeter Dawn Weber brings an upbeat configuration of great latin/Afro-Cuban musicians to the outdoor stage at the 2025 Mo Jazz Music Festival. Leaning heavily on Cuban vibes, Dawn Weber and the Boogaloo Crew promised dance music and they delivered. Despite a car crash on the interstate between St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri (the band was not involved with the crash, but the highway was closed for more than an hour) time constraints reduced the length of their set. And the 95°F weather with a 100°+ heat index kept the crowd to a rather small gathering. The day was hot, but the music was hotter.
